I'm a songwriter and artist manager based in San Antonio, Texas. I've always had a love for words and the way a song can capture something that's difficult to say in everyday conversation.

My lyrics come from life experiences, relationships, faith, and moments that have stayed with me. I put a lot of thought into what I write because every line has a purpose. I work across country, contemporary Christian, and pop styles, developing demos that give other artists a starting point to interpret the songs in their own way.

I also manage the music career of my husband, singer-songwriter, Matt Penrod. That role has taken me into a completely different side of the music industry, from recording and releasing music to booking performances, marketing, and promotion.

Through Lessons Learned, I share what we're learning along the way—the successes, mistakes, unexpected challenges, and things I wish we'd known when we started.

And through Behind the Lyrics, I share the personal stories and experiences that inspired my songs. Some are deeply personal, others come from watching the lives of people around me. Each one has a story, and sometimes that story says as much as the song itself.
