“Perfect to Me” was the first song I ever wrote for my husband. I started thinking about how easy it is to find someone's faults when we're looking for them. None of us are perfect, and if we spend enough time searching for imperfections, we'll certainly find them.
But when I look at my husband, I see so much more than his faults. I see the man he is, the things he's overcome, and the heart behind it all. I found myself thinking that maybe one of the most beautiful prayers we can offer for someone we love is simply asking God to keep us blind to their imperfections.
Not because they don't exist, but because they aren't what matters most. From where I'm standing, he's perfect to me.
