I've heard the Ten Commandments all my life, but ask me to recite all ten in order and suddenly my mind goes blank! I started wondering if I could turn them into a song that would make them easier to remember.
I wanted to get away from the formal language we often associate with Scripture and put the commandments into everyday words that people could understand and relate to. As I started writing, I realized they weren't just a list of rules to memorize. They were practical guidance for how we treat others, make decisions, and live our lives.
“Two Stone Tablets” became more than a memory exercise. It became a reminder that these words weren't meant to stay carved in stone thousands of years ago. They're meant to be written on our hearts and reflected in how we live today.
