There is a tenderness to “1000 Mistakes” that comes from a very personal place. Sometimes I feel so close to God, and other times I feel like I've made the same mistakes over and over again. I find myself wondering how I can feel so far from Him when I desperately want to feel His presence. I wrote this song about those moments when guilt and regret seem louder than faith, and all I really want is to feel close to Him again. It's a quiet, honest plea for forgiveness, grace, and the peace that comes from knowing I'm still loved, even when I fall short.
