This is perhaps the most controversial song I’ve ever written. Immediately after writing it, I thought, wow, this is going to get me arrested! It was written on the evening after visiting the Vatican in Rome. It was meant to challenge all churches and other leaders of faith to think about how they are representing God. I wrote it from God’s perspective, imagining Him asking the church to love Him differently.
